One of my favourite moments was capturing this image of a Solo Stallion. He split off from his mob protectively in an attempt to guide us away. After running for a short while, he came to a complete standstill and turned to face our hovering chopper as though posing for his portrait. It was incredible to watch the strength and confidence of this Alpha male. Once he worked out we were not there to harm him he stood peacefully for some time and then casually walked off when he was ready. It was on his terms….such an incredible moment.
